Terms of Service

“Japanse” (“we”, “us”) is an online Japanese-language learning platform. It includes lessons, missions, an AI tutor (Sensei), and a credit-based plan for AI usage. By accessing the service you (“User”) agree to these Terms of Service.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms.
• Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and update it if it changes.
• One human per account. Sharing accounts is not allowed.

• New accounts get a 7-day free trial with 100 AI credits. Trial credits expire when the trial ends.
• Paid plans (Monthly, Yearly) and one-time credit packs are billed in IDR. Listed prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless you cancel before then.
• Credits are spent when you use AI features. Lessons, missions, and flashcard reviews stay free.
• Credits expire when their wallet expires.

• If you were charged in error, or the service is broken at the time of purchase, contact support within 14 days for a refund.
• Trial credits and credits already used are not refundable.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method and may take 7–14 business days to settle.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to create or share illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexual content involving minors.
• Try to break, scan, or attack the service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to your account.
• Bulk-copy lessons or vocabulary for redistribution.
• Disturb other users or try to bypass paywalls, limits, or credit accounting.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI Sensei answers using a third-party language model. Replies can be wrong, out of date, or culturally off. Treat it as a study aid, not the final word — especially for legal, medical, or business matters. We give no guarantee of accuracy.

You keep ownership of any text, audio, or images you submit (such as messages to Sensei or your avatar). You give us permission to store and process that content only to run the service. We do not sell your content.

Lessons, vocabulary lists, missions, badges, and brand assets belong to Japanse or are licensed to us. You may use them inside the service for personal study only. Please don't republish or redistribute them.

• We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Material changes that affect paid plans will be announced by email.
• The service is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee it will always be available without interruption.

• You can delete your account anytime from Settings.
• We may suspend or close access if these terms are broken or for legal reasons.
• On closure, unused trial credits and active subscriptions are forfeited unless local law requires otherwise.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are settled in the courts of Jakarta unless local law gives you another option.

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the service after the change means you accept the new version.
